It is very hot and steamy here.

The ginger loves this weather and is doing well. I have been nibbling on blueberries lately. The raspberries are about done.

I have put up some green beans the other day. I will pick more tomorrow. My tomatoes have some tomatoes now, and the peppers have flowers. The scarlet runner beans are blooming.

I was given more garden seeds today, so I planted some of them. I planted some watermelon seeds, some more dill and thyme, and cucumbers and watered the garden.

The horseradish looks good this year, even the new ones are up and look nice.

The redbeets and potatoes look good. The asparagus looks good too. And the parsley is going crazy out there. The sweet potatoes look real good. I need to get some potassium for the strawberries so I get more berries. My herbs all look good, zinnias are finally growing, and the cosmos and calendula and marigolds all look good and are beginning to bloom. I have lots of dill and thyme out there. The rue my friend gave me is doing well. The pumpkins and melons in the compost are going crazy, and the volunteer potatoes are doing good too. Most of the transplanted black eyed susans look great.

A strange vine that showed up last fall turns out to be a passion fruit vine. Bummer. I will try to dig it out and give it away. I don't care for it. It bloomed this morning.

Didn't do much today as it was golf this morning. I came in three shots under my handicap, so have qualified for another competition final. I was also one of only three players who had a two on a par three, so I was quite pleased with myself.

But after lunch, I did straighten this mimosa. It was leaning quite a bit to the left, despite the restraining wires. I think they are necessary as it's very top-heavy in winds, despite the support post. I'll have to keep an eye on it as it will try to spread, I took a bit off the top earlier in the year.

I'm pleased with these "tub fillers," two in each, I bought earlier in the year, I was just looking for something for these troughs during the summer, as the heathers I had in them were past their best.

The replacement trellis I put on the top of the security fence between the corner of the house and the garage, has been covered by the Amber clematis on the other side, so hardly notices now.

One of the roses in a tub, in the "alley of shame," (the drive along the side of our house), which gets very little sun. My wife doesn't like it. But it can "see her," if she's in the kitchen through the side window. It's been there for several years.

Zigs— oh mate, I love seeing a decent harvest. That all looks so tidy and delicious as well. Someone’s going to eat well.
