Lovely display @Oreti Cool pink Crinum @Daniel W . I didn't know you could grow Palms up there in the PNW !! That looks to me like a Cabbage palm. Technically called a Sabel Palm. I have one on the Southeast corner of my yard.
Thanks Anniekay! The palms are Trachycarpus fortunei, Chusan Palm or Windmill Palm. They grow as far north as Seattle and Vancouver Island.
Spider so tiny on Alostromeria flower. Clematis Rooguchi Huge barn Owl .. looks like a cat pic was taken across the pasture quite a distance. When he flew the wing span was impressive. Hummers follow me everywhere. So cute. This is Miss Poppy. Night lite garden at sundown sky.
Great pics @Pacnorwest and fab wildlife shots !! Love the shape and vibrant colour of the Clematis especially. Your garden looks such a peaceful and relaxing sanctuary to unwind at the end of a busy day....stunning. We hear Owls regularly but never actually get to see them unfortunately . The Foxes were lively last night and judging by the noise were having a great party!!!
Lovely pics everyone I brought the seeds of this one from Dorset, it was poking through the hedge where I used to have my caravan
Oh my, my friend. Yes they have bones but if you learn how to fillet them they are absolutely one of the best fish to eat. White, flakey meat like a fluke. We went to Canada fishing a few times . One boat had a guide who cooked the pike on an open pit in beer batter. (drool....)
I ate a Trout that I caught in a river once but mainly I'm a Sea Angler JD Few flowers in the wild meadow today... Lady's Bedstraw And Chicory
It's not white. I'm sure I will enjoy it, but it's not my mama's poppy. Another is also not white and it's coral in color. I had a little fun with poppy seeds last year and I'm glad I did. Every cheerful thing helps
