Good Monday morning all. Currently 16°C and clear. There sure are lots of birds singing this morning!
Off to work after a very busy weekend. Had the contractor over yesterday to lay the laundry room floor only to figure out we had to do a bunch of unexpected prep work sp he will be back another day. That was very unexpected and quite a bummer as I really wanted to get this DONE! But while he was here I got him to look at the upstairs bathroom so he's going to price that job out for me too. Some of the things on my to do list got started this weekend at least.
Rain in the forecast for later, and we really need it.
Have a great day all :)

Mel—Wow! That was a great catch-up posting. You have been a very busy girl. All the processing stuff and managing the things for your man. Busy, busy, busy. Chapeau to you and your abilities.
BTW, will some piccies be forthcoming?

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 22°C and overcast. We got some rain overnight, as well as last evening. I was outside trying to get the last of the annuals planted after the first rain, and then the second round watered it all in. Hopefully we get one more round before it clears up today.
It is Canada day, so its technically a holiday, but I'm going to work. I'll take another day off.
Have a great day all :)

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 17°C and clear. Another beautiful day ahead.
I have the day off today, so I'm going to go back to the building center and pick up some more flooring because I've decided to do the bathroom floor as well. Hopefully my contractor will be able to come back soon, and I will be ready for him.
I hope to get some work done in my gardens after I get home, and maybe a bit of grass cut.
Have a great day all :)

Wishing hubby the best of recoveries and you too Melody. :)

    Those sound good! Lucky neighbor!

I discovered a word for what we've been doing here - "Döstädning". Or "Swedish Death Cleaning". Decluttering, getting rid of excess possessions, determining what to throw away, donate, sell, give to people who are close, so that life is less cluttered and people don't have to deal with it if we are too frail or after we go. There are lots of websites.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 21°C and clear. We had lovely rain showers yesterday evening, which came just in time to save me from watering duty.
Off to work, where it is grass cutting day. Its going to be hot again, so slow and steady with lots of water breaks. Its almost the weekend, and I can't wait.
Have a great day all :)

We had a 2.4 Earthquake yesterday afternoon. It was 8miles deep and the center was about 70 miles north of me. I was sitting on my bed and it was strong enough to feel like I had a massager rumbling away against my backside !! :p

It lasted about 45-50 seconds and I kept saying : " We're havin' an earth quake and we don't have earthquakes here. "
Well, now we do !! :D

Anniekay earthquakes in your area is unusual. My son lived in Northern Florida and he told me there is a fault line called the Brevard Fault zone near the area. At least you had a little giggle in your area and a good sense of humor to explain feeling the message effectively. :snicker:

Lived in California in the 70’s experienced a 7.5 quake and it was a nauseating dizzying experience. Almost knocked me over…:headscratch:

I texted a friend of mine who lives about five miles from me, this morning. I asked if he felt the earth quake yesterday and told him about my butt massage and he said: "Dang !! I missed it and I could've used a good butt massage !!"

Good Friday morning all. Currently 12°C and clear. Lots of birds again this morning, and while I was laying in bed I could hear coyotes howling. I love this time of year when the windows are open and nature is what you hear!
Yesterday was a horrible work day all around, so I'm hoping for a better day today. I am definitely feeling the stress of no help and a busy weekend ahead. I will be so glad when my day is over! Bring on the weekend!
Have a great day all :)

We got the notices printed and sent out as well as wrote a piece for our newsletter announcing the beginning of the Food Bank pickup. It will begin 17 July this year.
It is always exciting getting ready for this.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 17°C and clear. There is a heat warning in effect for today and tomorrow.
Hoping to beat the heat getting the rest of the grass cut this morning. I was cutting the back lawn last night, and something caught my eye way back along the far treeline. It was a HUGE black bear! Tried to get a picture with my cell phone, but it was far back. When I sent it to my computer to enlarge to look at, you could just barely make it out. Definitely the biggest black bear that I've ever seen! I'll be keeping that in mind when out walking for sure!
Have a great day all :)
