We are growing some paprika outside this year. They always do well in the greenhouse, but we have the tom test this season. Fingers crossed.
Yes, those pap chips are delicious…addictive actually. ;)

Today we had Peppered Mackeral with Cous Cous with a selection of various beans, freshly harvested this morning and given to us from a kind allotment holder who has a plot behind our garden. We get first 'picks' of everyone's excess produce at this time of year....a real perk of living where we do:whistling::D:like:.

Today, as most week-ends we'll have a joint of meat, it's usually either beef or lamb, the latter more often, as it is today.
We'll have it with Jersey new potatoes and mixed veg. A half-leg will last us two days, as we'll have it cold on Sunday, with more potatoes and salad.
Meat is getting very expensive. I bought today's joint in M&S, their selection of meat has got smaller and smaller over the years. This was the only lamb joint they had, when I went shopping on Thursday. Usually, I buy it in Sainsburys, where I was going next, but they don't always have any, so I wasn't taking a chance as the weather was very warm. I wasn't surprised the joint had a security tag on it. It was 1.25kg and £26.

What type breading to you put on your scnitzel Sjoerd?
I used bread crumbs with Italian seasonings and my German X was crazy about my schnitzel !! :D

I had spaghetti with my own tomato sauce and garlic bread tonight.

Eggs scrambled in butter, with a big spoon of Sambal Olek paste. I love that stuff.

Later, blueberries blended in Greek yogurt with some vanilla protein powder.

Annie—it is summertime and therefore a time of simple and quick meals after a long day at the lottie. Those schnitzels were bought, already coated. We do not take time to do things properly. Your idea for adding the Italian herbs to the crumbs sounds so good.

Tonight we had nasi goring with picante saté saus and our own beans.
