Are Tomato Plants An Ancestor of Potatoes?

    Scientists believe that an ancient tomato x another potato ancestor hybridized, resulting in the ancestor of all potatoes.

    I read somewhere else that ancient potatoes were bitter and toxic until the ancestors if Incas selected for non-bitter, non-toxic types.

    Next, I want them to cross a tomato with a carnivorous plant that will eat moles.
