Hi all. Just an FYI. I have emailed a handful of my old buds from the gardentags app , which just recently went down for good. I hope to see a couple of them show up here. I'm still getting familiar with gardenstew myself. I started this thread as a base for previous gardentags folks to come together upon arrival.
I do love the dark ones sjoerd. They're my favorite. This was new spring 2024. I have a very large all white one just across the gate. I wish I had taken a picture a month ago as it's done. White sure stands out in a dark corner.
*Looks left and right* Ummm,...WHERE ? I know I got cataracts but a full grown human being, yes, I can still see those !!
He'll be back. Jeff is a dear old garden friend from acrossthepond. I'm so pleased he might be posting some of his gardens pics here @Anniekay
No there was an gardening app with a great plant community and it disappeared and now I don't know what other app to use
@Pacnorwest the YouTube version was started by the same folks that did the app but it was never popular among us who frequented the app. The app was much like gardenstew but only 2 options for posting. Had to be a photo in order to post and you had the choice of posting a specific plant, which added to their database or just posting a garden photo. It was only around for 10 years. I miss the people and their gardens. I recognize the sacrifice that one makes to keep an app like these up and running. I think @Frank deserves a round of applause for keeping gs going for 20 years. Wow! That has been a real commitment frank.
@Mardel I stayed with gt until very close to the end. There was one glitch after another and there was no way for the creators to keep it up. I'm not sure why, but it officially ended in June. I do have some contact with Kari and a couple others but not much. I'm so pleased you are here. Posting photos is a learning curve. I use the following app to downsize photos to 40% the size of original and that works. As follows Hello, Check out our free Android app designed to help you resize the large file size photo to a small one. Give it a try and download it now. I haven't heard for several weeks but she was doing well. Such a relief after the last few years. @Mardel
