Many meals and drinks come to mind most American dishes. Tomato soup with grilled cheese sandwich a winter staple. Yumm. Homemade tomato concentrate . Sauce in stock for any number of dishes. Tomato juice is a fav for morning breakfast with tobasco & lemon, or an afternoon Bloody Mary drink . Oh and for Pizza sauce.

Cheers Zigs— those test toms are starting to roll in now..

Annie— that is just the beginning. We’ll need another twenty or so for the winter.
The concentrate we use to make chilli con, bolognaise sauce and soup primarily.
it is nothing fancy, the toms get washed and cut, boiled…passed through a passe vite then re- boiled until it is thickish. It takes a long time.

    Pac—Meid, you see that good.

That sounds like the consistency is thicker than tomato soup yet not as thick as tomato paste. Am I correct? :)

    Annie— you are correct. :D
It is so handy to have on hand for the way we cook. We do not eat out very often.
