Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 10°C and clear. A nice high of 26°C expected today with clear skies. I'll take it!
Our well has rebounded enough to run again, but we are being very cautious with our water usage. I've been showering at work, and today I am taking a load of work clothes to work to wash. I still have full rain barrels to water the gardens with, and it was exactly this kind of situation that prompted getting 8 rain barrels around the property.
Theres something I have learned this year ... this too shall pass. Just gotta keep on keeping on.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 12°C and clear. High of 25°c today, with a 40% chance of rain. Thats the biggest chance we have of rain until Monday, so maybe its time to do a rain dance. Wells are drying up all around the neighbourhood and the level of the lake is very, very low.
Off to work, where despite the lack of rain, the grass just keeps growing and its grass cutting day again. We have a wedding this weekend so it needs to look nice.
A little side job to do after work, then its home time.

Good Friday morning all, and TGIF. Currently 12°C and a few clouds.
We live near the train tracks, and I've always wondered why the coyotes howl when a train passes. I kind of like it when I'm out with the dog in the dark because then I know exactly where they coyotes are. If they aren't howling when a train passes and I'm outside I get nervous because then I think they are very close to me. That just happened and I was quick to get back inside.
Off to work, where the wedding prep continues. A few gardens to cultivate and dead head, and some watering to do, but then off to finish cutting the grass.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently just 7°C and sunny. It sure feels a lot colder!
I'm in the fall mindset now, because its been cold in the mornings, the leaves are falling, and the days are getting shorter. I don't like it at all!
I have lots of grass to cut, but then its time to start cleaning up some gardens. Its been a hard year and things are looking tired.
And its almost time to shift things to firewood and yard cleanup, gosh how I hate this time of year. Bring me back to June!

Good Monday morning all. Currently 18°C and overcast. We had a short thunderstorm last night, but I don't think it was enough to fill the rain barrels. There is chance of rain today, hopefully we get some. Weatherman predicts about 10mm this afternoon, hope hes right.
Off to work this morning, not sure how much there will be to do if its raining, but I should get a few hours in.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 18°C and overcast. There is a chance of rain today and its going to be humid.
I got 4 hours in yesterday, and then I went to the laundromat, the vet to drop off a sample, dropped offs skates for sharpening and then visited a friend. Went home and made a nice dinner went to bed early. I have lots of energy today haha

This week is passing rather quickly, and I find it very hard to believe that its only another week and we are into October! Fastest summer ever.
Off to work, hoping to get some grass cut - IF its dry enough.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 16°C and overcast. There is a chance of rain today. The more the merrier for my well!
I was a hedge trimmer yesterday. Its amazing where those cedar clippings end up ... in your hair, on your face and body, inside your clothing and shoes. Yuck.
I felt like a new woman after a shower.
Got some bad news about my winter car yesterday, power steering line broke and mechanic found a few other issues. I won't know exactly until later today, but looks like another costly repair. Might be time to get rid of that vehicle, we shall see.

Good Friday morning all, and TGIF! Currently 16°C and overcast.
Yesterday it started raining around 10am and didnt stop until supper time. I sure hope that helped my well water level come up a little bit.
Car repairs are done, and it could have been much worse. Thankfully my new mechanic is so experienced with Dodge vehicles. We will get it back home today after work.
Lots to do at work today, all the grass I didn't get a chance to cut yesterday due to the rain. And lots to do around the house this weekend too.

Netty—I used to have a Dodge…a Dodge power wagon. It worked a treat. Four wheel drive with an enormous petrol tank in addition to the factory one.

Started my day having to plunge a clogged toilet, how much fun is that! I've got a chicken in the oven, and I'm trying a load of dishes in the dishwasher hoping this weeks rain filled the well. Fingers crossed all goes good with the water situation today.
Lots to do outside, but wanting to squeeze in a visit with the grandkids today.
