Wow those dahlias are huge and can be tedious when digging & dividing. Spent many years dealing with that issue. I had one that was huge, the size of a butternut squash. Somehow I missed digging it a few years, survived the frosts and critters. Allowing them to dry out in a cold dark dry area for winter storage can be tricky. No I don’t pronounce dahlias like she does -doll uhz. I pronounce them as daa le uhz . I’ve never heard anyone pronounce dahlias like she does. Of course people from different states do have different accents especially west coast vs eastern coastal states.
