She plays this at all her concerts. Her fans love it. It's an old Motown song, written and recorded by the Isley Brothers in the 60s. I've got it on a 45 in one of my jukeboxes.

She's here with Dave Koz. two years ago. He's made several recordings with the guitarist Peter White.

In 1968 Debbie Harry started her career. She has an amazing voice. I have all her albums when she sang with her band Blondie. I went to a signing of albums in California and met her . Can you believe she is 80 years old?

Blondie sang the first Rap song in 1984.

Pacnorwest good that you met her.

They started off as a punk band but at first wasn't very good at it. I used to watch top of the pops that's when i watched them singing Denis Denis. Debbie Harry has tinnitus from the loud drums and they have to be behind a screen.

Logan that was an interesting aging vid of her. I am happy that she didn’t resort to face fillers and plastic surgery and proudly shows who she is and her age at 80.

    Here's an 83 year-old standard I've always liked.
It's on the, "In the Wee Small Hours" album, of which I have a copy.

Written by Alec Wilder, probably the best of the many songs he wrote.

This is my copy of "In the Wee Small Hours." I think I bought it in 1970.
It has a different album sleeve than the original, but it's the same mono recording, issued in 1955.
I got it out tonight and played both sides. Unlike a lot of pop albums, there's no duff tunes as all the songs are by the classic composers.

I really appreciate the quality you can get with vinyl, compared with CDs, cassettes, or the compressed tracks you can hear on YouTube, particularly if the album has been well cared for. I'm going to use my new ultrasonic record cleaner on a few favourite albums, "when I get some time."

Susan Maughan, had one hit record in the early sixties.

Followed by an appearance in a film

Her's, was not my sort of music. But I always considered she could sing well.
No further new recordings from the mid-seventies and by the 1990s she'd more or less disappeared.
    She'll be 87 now.
