Zigs very nice… distachyus ‘Water Hawthorne’. Is your pond inside an enclosure of some type? It’s bloomin now? I have to wait til it warms up like next may/June for mine to bloom. They do have a slight lovely lily type olfactory in summer here. Tiny lil guys hold their own in still water better than near the pond waterfalls.
Aah, wondered what it was Pac It's sheltered but stays ice free due to the pump and filter I built for the fish
Zigs well now ya know what’s been lurking in your pond. Nice to have a pond , peaceful water element for the garden as well as water plants and fish can add so much character to a pond. Luv it.
For me too @Sjoerd . These Gerber daisies love it here. I've started more from seed this year because they bloom for almost the entire year.
I wish I could grow them, but the conditions in my garden is not right. I do lurve looking at yours though. Cheers for the posting.
Logan bulbs are popppin in your area. Something really super energizing to look foreword to.. The hummers are buzy at the new nectar feeder.
Hummingbirds are cute and fun to watch to a certain point. They can be lil nags especially when it comes to food. They madly fly around the house to find me , then buzz closely by me , ( enough to feel the buzz & breeze from their wings ) , until I get the hint that their feeders need to be refreshed. Or near a window by the feeder they will look inside the house in their helicopter mode stare at me thru the window beeping and squeaking away letting me know it’s time to fill up the feeders again. It’s quite a dancing routine they have developed.
I used to have this pale blue visor to keep the sun out of my eyes while mowing. It had big tropical hybiscus flowers on it in pink and purple with orange stamens. Almost every time I wore it I would get a hummingbird, thinking it real flowers, hoving just over my head. I didn't find it annoying but, instead, very cool !! You hear the wings beating before you ever see the bird.
