Tetters asked me to get rid of an old chair so I sawed the legs off and turned it into a owl box Found a suitable tree with some forked branches and with a bit of sawing and cussing I hoiked it up there... It didn't move but just to be on the safe side I secured it with some cable ties. There are a few owls about, we here them at night and one flew over my head the other night while I was out looking at the moons of Jupiter. Have you got any bird boxes?
Zigs that’s what I call a clever way to repurpose a chair. Who wudda thought. The mind of the very creative Zigs… Yeap have a few birdhouses(bird boxes). Every year for many years the swifts nest in the same bird houses to nest. The openings have to be the correct sizes for birds. To target a species Birdhouse openings are crucial for attracting specific species while deterring predators . Every spring they come like clockwork.
