I'm a full moon gardner, as taught to me by retired long time gardeners from my area. Unless I have lots of cloud and rain, if I have a full moon anytime from May to October and it's clear, I have frost. Even though most here plant on the May long weekend, if there is a full moon in that time period I either plant after or before with lots of frost cover. It hasn't failed me in twenty years. :)
