Aww Nightowl take care & stay warm . This storm is as the weather guessers say ,”A once in a life time storm”. So many already experiencing the down side of ice and snow blizzards, freezing rain the worst … Stay safe and keep us posted.

Stay safe and stay warm !! This storrm is no joke. I will keep my fingers crossed that you retain power for the duration !!

I have a, now, 128 year old house and it had drafty windows, doors and floors !! You could see daylight in some spots through the floor boards. I got it remodeled: new everything but the roof and got my very own "Sucker" put in over the stove with a vent going to the outside. It wasn't at all expensive either, but they did have to cut a hole in the house to install it.

A fine day, some cloud, +6c.
Nothing that need any attention in the garden yet. Some clematis need dead bits removing, but I'll leave them until I see any signs of life before pruning them back.

Oreti— cheers. She almost never has a headache now-a-bays. I was never convinced that she had migraines. There are different types of headaches; hers were sort of what you would call, atypical.

Zigs— I know, we were totally taken by surprise.

Pac— that sounds better than I could explain it. I wish that I knew what “WTW” is in English. The bloke that is in charge of the electrical and plumbing in our building was not at all pleased that someone had hooked the air ducts up wrong.

    Annie— haha.

I get tension headaches from holding stress in my neck and shoulders. The tension starts in my neck and goes north but a couple of tension headache pills (they have caffeine in them) gets rid of it.

I hope fixing the Sucker over the stove helps her.

    Annie— it did indeed, cheers.
There are so many different types of headaches and some are extremely difficult to control.

I fertilized my lettuce and spinach with some blood meal and put my rain gauge outside. We're supposed to get rain but so far just a quick drizzle.

The snow stopped around lunch time here. It is about half way to my knees, and I am 5' 4" tall if that helps. It is 8F and supposed to be 4F for a low? I have had to go out to take care of my pets, and clean up. Otherwise, I am indoors until it warms up a wee bit. I do have to take the trash out to the barrel tonight... I will do that when I walk dogs shortly.

Keep safe and warm everyone. I saw a graphic about how many millions are without power in this storm. Ouch.

My son the trucker is out in this mess, and my other son is in Texas possibly without power?

I have been through a lot of "once in a lifetime" storms, and am only 71.
