Just got home and I'm soaked through.
Our weather warning for heavy rain was due to finish at midnight but has now been extended until 9pm Friday evening. So another soaking is guaranteed tomorrow too.
The noise from the rain hitting the house is deafening!!

Nearly 10:30 pm here and still chucking it down outside....wouldn't be surprised if we found ducks swimming around the garden in the morning.

I've just noticed that thunder has been sneaked into the mix for tomorrow now.

Logan & Oreti sounds like a real thunder boomer… pouring cats and dogs there.
It’s up to 61F this afternoon almost. A revised breaker by one degree for Portland. Been outside all day. So nice to feel the sun shine on skin while soaking up some vitamin D .
This has been a really mild winter so far.. butttt…. next week it’s all rain and wind storms . Fickle weather…

Well all ready to go....umbrella✓,waterproof shoes ✓, waterproof coat ✓...........off out for the day.

Oh for being able to enjoy a whole day puttering in the garden. This has been a most miserable Jan/ Feb.... I normally am not fazed by spending time gardening in 'normal' rain but this lot just leaves you saturated through to the skin even with my waterproof ( well it use to be) garden jacket on.
We increased our days out recently just to stop cabin fever setting in, there is only so much you can do at home and fortunately hubs and I are the same and can't sit around...any 'screen' time is allocated to evenings as they drag on a bit too.

Agree Pac , we had a rare super day on Wednesday with gorgeous sunshine ALL day and it felt sooooooo good on the skin and was a great morale booster too.

62F high today it’s a record breaker or tied for the warmest day this day feb 6, 2026.

 

30°f 64 and sunny for the high but a bit windy this afternoon.

 

As soon as i said that it had stopped raining, it started again,now it's stopped again.
