@Oreti That's a tough question to answer. I guess it could feel like it's going too fast too soon, for which nobody can be blamed - But the truth is, that the time for such change has already come... Like the atomic bomb, if the United States hadn't built it and used it, Nazi Germany would have - So one way or another, the time for the atomic age had come.

Same story with this Transhumanism [h+] I suppose...

It's exactly like what Dr. A. Q. Khan, (father of Pakistan's nuclear weapons program) said, when asked why he was building longer and longer range missiles to deliver his nuclear weapons - He said, that this is just technical ability. Which we will be able to use as a satellite launch vehicle too, not just for war. It's like having a big solid knife in your home. You can now use it to cut bread and vegetables to make delicious sandwiches with. Or cut your neighbor's throat. It's just a tool, a piece of equipment. It's not good nor evil, it's the people, the end users, who will determine how it's used, (he said).

So yes, Transhumanism [h+] too is extremely powerful. And perhaps arriving too soon, before our societies have had a chance to evolve beyond geopolitical squabblings. Which is why I'm sure there will be a lot of misuse also.

But overall, generally speaking, I feet - That this is yet another "disruptive technology". Like the internet, mobile phone with a camera, AirBnB, which shattered the monopoly big hotel chains use to enjoy. Uber broke the backs of taxi services everywhere, who otherwise were basically resorting to extortion, yet calling it their taxi fair.

So in the end, we today enjoy the benefits. Therefore Transhumanism [h+] too will turn out the same way - Yes there will be a lot of upheaval turmoil everywhere. But when things settle down. Everyone will be better off.

I'm not convinced about the research @Logan. I've had first hand experience of it for over 30 years now (other family members) and for those suffering from it nothing seems to have changed since my Uncle ( first one in the family) was diagnosed in the early 90s. We had an inkling that my brother had it long before it was finally agreed that he should have a brain scan....and then our fears were confirmed. It really wouldn't have made a difference anyway if it had be done years earlier....I'm just pleased my parents never knew as his physical disabilities throughout his life gave them enough worries.

That's why Transhumanism [h+] experimentation is being carried out in secret. Outside the jurisdiction of things like NHS, FDA, or anything similar. As the Transhumanist community isn't going to wait now. So no interference will be allowed, as that would cause delays, (which the Dot-Com billionaires are going to easily circumvent).

There's a lot more I can say about it. But I'll stop here. So unless someone really is curious, and genuinely interested in knowing, I rather not say anything more, (as I don't want to attract the wrong kind of attention)...

OK, last thing that I'm going to say about this, (before misunderstandings start to spin out of control). Is that Transhumanist [h+] is essential for space exploration and colonization. Which is the next step, for which humanity is long overdue, (Earth is already too crowded).

But the distances in space are too great, and our lifespan too short. The environment outside in space is also too hostile, (constantly bombarded with cosmic rays), and we in our current state are too fragile - so during the 18 month journey to Mars, 50% of the brain tissue of astronauts might be irreparably damaged. So before they might even get a chance to land on Mars, they will probably be suffering from extreme dementia.

This isn't a joke, so please don't assume that I'm pulling your leg. Because I know exactly what I'm talking about...

    Screenshot_20260223-000205.jpg

Such is how cosmic rays will affect us in the state we are currently in right now. But with Transhumanism [h+] and rapid regenerative medicine plus genetic engineering. We might upgrade ourselves to become immune to cosmic radiation. As well as extend our lifespan indefinitely without any degradation. So we will be able to reach other worlds in the cosmos.

That is what's the real aim of Transhumanism [h+] - It's actually the next step in evolution. Where we now take control of our destiny.

Otherwise stay here on Earth, and just wait for another ELE (extinction level event) which whipped out the dinosaurs. Because it's a statistical certainty, that such ELE keep on happening periodically in the universe. So it's only a matter of time, until we too are finished.

Or take charge of your own evolution and destiny, then move out. Into out own solar system first, but later in the cosmos too.

By the way, it's not just the Dot-Com billionaires who are into this. But certain members of the different Royal families in the world too are secretly in this- Yes I said that I didn't want to attract the wrong kind of attention. But after last night I consulted with a few people in the Transhumanist community, and they said to me that it's alright, become a blabbing mouth all you like, (as it's already too late for anyone to try and stop us now)!

So together, the Dot-Com billionaires, other highly influential people, as well as certain Royals, (plus some scientists who are at the cutting edge of certain technologies) - Are all secretly amalgamated in this quest for Transhumanism [h+].

    @S-H

Oreti has shared her thoughts about the problems she's having with her Brother.

I really don't think it the time or the place to be banging on about trans anything. Now will you please, kindly, drop the subject.

    Thank you.

I was saying, that hang on to hope, don't be sad, and don't give up. As things are likely to get better. Most likely soon.

Let me give you a little insight - I lost my mother to cancer in the 80s. And that's kind of stuck with me since, as I was under 10 years old at the time.

Now that particular cancer is no longer considered a lethal type - So just imagine the progress over the years... That's why I'm in the Transhumanist community, (in the interest of speeding up progress). As scientific progress is the only way out of such a vicious cycle, (which otherwise doesn't give any hope, but rather just teaches to accept defeat)...

I do not accept it, when it's something I don't like - I fight with everything at my disposal - And then some! As there's no shame in going down fighting, (but there is in giving up) - Such is my upbringing and culture...

Anyway you guys do whatever you like, I do whatever I like - I already knew that this had the potential to degenerate, (as I knew it would be hard to grasp for some). So I've already said all that I needed to. It is enough for anyone who is interested in this, to find the way from here. As I've left a lot of bread crumbs for anyone to follow, (feel free to find our community on the deep web Tor network).

Now back to doing whatever we were.

There is a fix. Which is, help and/or assist (in whatever way possible) someone else in the same or similar situation.

Doing that, often washes away the hurt, anger, and pain. It's the only remedy, the only escape.

Went to the dentist to see the hygienist, said that I'm doing well with my teeth and then cleaned them.

I regularly go to the local pharmacy, to collect my wife's prescriptions, sometimes it's twice a week. We can't take advantage of the delivery service, as she would take ages to answer the doorbell If I weren't there and the drugs would not pass through the letter box.
It's not a problem, it's usually the same girl who gives out the prescriptions and she always notices me as I come through the door, so I don't even have to tell her who's the prescription for.
It's quite straightforward. The paper prescriptions are kept in something the size of half a shoebox, in alphabetical order of customer, divided by a-z cardboard separators.

Well..it was... but not since yesterday.

When I went in, the shoebox had gone, replaced by something slightly smaller than a smart-phone she had in her hand and she has to scroll through it to find the prescriptions. I guess she then has to "press something" to indicate it has been collected. That is of course, if she can find it on her "phone."
In my case, she couldn't. She then had to go to the cash register/computer, to try to find it. No luck there, so in the end she did a physical search of the stock of completed prescriptions, before she found it. That took more than ten minutes.

    Don't you love technology?
