It's about the sea anyway JD Not something I do as I fish to eat, but some folk game fish for Tope and Smoothounds from boats. A few folk fly fish for Mullet from the shore along with lure fishing for Bass. All along the pier they have posters with the minimum sizes for various fish. It's illegal to take them for the table under certain sizes if you're a sea angler. But then you see them undersized in the supermarkets
No, I've seen articles about those though. European Bass, but we just call them Bass Minimum size 42cm with a 2 fish a day limit now. I've fished for them in the Portland Races, an area just off the coast of Portland where 2 currrents meet. The boat drifts down the current which is like a river, use jelly lures for them there. Also fished wrecks for them by drifting over the wreck. Caught some "Dead Man's Fingers" with the lure once, pulled them off the wreck Don't worry, they are a type of coral, not fingers off real people
Just found a pic of me boat fishing before my hair went gray That must have been before 2003 as I gave those glasses to one of the lads I was working with in Turkey.
