Today I hauled four wagons of arborist chips to replenish mulch in the rose garden. It will need several more days like this.

I also finished cleaning up the first pear tree's prunings. One more to go, then I'll prune the other two pear trees.

    Daffys around the gingko tree.

I'm doing nothing today. My Jazz Crosstar has to go in for a service and its first MOT.

I'll get them to sort out the software, the car says updates are available, but when I check on Honda's website, it says it's up-to-date. The milometer reads 8,060 and I've only driven 537 miles since I bought it last year, so it won't need much done to it.

I've to take it to the main dealers where I bought it, as it's still under warranty.
That's a pain, as it's in Stockport, nearly ten miles away. I'll walk into Stockport town centre and have my lunch in a pub, whilst I kill the best part of three hours while it's being done.
Some main Honda dealers and for some other brands are either closing or changing suppliers. There used to be Honda dealers in Altrincham and Stretford, where I bought the two CRVs I've had, but they now sell different makes. Even the one in Stockport, as other car suppliers do now, also stock Chinese makes, since I was last there. Honda models now share the showroom with two Chinese makes, Omoda and Jaecoo. Who thinks up these names?
People who buy them will have an increasing problem with insurers, as they don't like them. So they are far more expensive to insure. The availability of spare parts will be the biggest problem.

I ordered some granular plant food via eBay for when I plant out the clematis. It was delivered on Sunday. It was £8 including postage. I might have got a bit cheaper elsewhere, but I'd have to get the car out to get it.

My replacement fairy lights for the garage pergola should arrive today. I'll change them over tomorrow.

We were out for most of the day but managed to fit in an 1:5 hr session late afternoon . The good weather was too good an opportunity to miss out on.

Cut back 2 of the larger hardy Fuchsias.
Made a good start on a bigger border tidy up.
    Cut back another Hydrangea.
Annoyingly wasted precious time hunting for my favourite hand fork and trowel.......still haven't found them:shrug:. First thing tomorrow I'm going to have to empty out the contents of the 3 big trugs that I've been using over the last couple of days to see if they've sneaked in one of them.

Today we finished off exchanging the soil in the greenhouse. Laid down compost on one of the beds and cut some decorative grasses for a path and for undertake strawbs. Tomorrow the flower plots.
