Hey all, Last night the site's database got hit with a major corruption. It was basically irrecoverable by easy methods. So throughout the day I have been slowly bringing it back using more manual methods, quite an arduous process I must say Basic posting should be working for now but expect database errors while I get the rest of the pieces back in place! Sorry about all this! Ok back to it... // frank
Everything is cool - No worries! I knew @Frank would fix it sooner or later. He always does. Although I was wondering, if the site and forum structure is becoming unstable - How about a mirror site? This way if one goes down temporarily, the other will keep on working.
I got the main forum functionality up and running, but not the Blogs, PlantStew or Gardens yet. The site as a whole is still a bit unstable so apologies again. What I would suggest to everyone is in case of another database corruption in future is to share contact details with each other, so you can still contact each other if GardenStew goes down for longer periods..
Don't worry too much about us. Whatever I want to post if the site is down I type out on "Open Office" and save it. It's easy enough to cut and paste it when everything's working again. I appreciate the effort that goes into providing this facility.
Nope, @Frank still getting a blue page using "upload a file" Ah-HAH!! I tried "more options" then, "upload a file and here we are !! That's the pic of my Azalea that I wanted to post, the start of the glitch in posting pics. Oh, isn't that poetic .
Actually still having new crazy issues. Thank you for staying on top of this matter . Updating older Technology helps. Happy to see we’re back in business… Anniekay Gorgeous azaleas.. way ahead of the game mine haven’t even set bud yet. You’re ok with uploading from your pic files now ?
Apologies for the double post but just to say that if anyone sees anything buggy over the next few days please post here or DM me. I will weed out every last one of them to the best of my ability!
Take your time please, no need to worry, nor hurry. Therefore don't make a waste in haste. Because we will still be here. So doesn't matter how long it takes.
