I'm not telling, I am asking....help!!!! There is a corner of my house that I can not go near for fear of it. Found it was there by accident when the tiny red bumps on my legs started forming huge blisters. If Steven King ever needed a visual aide for a creature that would scare the beegeebers out of you, he could have used my legs from the knees to ankles. Then, not now of course I have my "Betty Grable" legs back My husband declared chemical warfare all last year and with the drought we don't yet know if it really had any effect. But I would love some ideas on what to do if it does come back this spring. I would have preferred to go the organic method on it, but after the pain and misery it caused me for almost a month, I didn't say anything when he bought the other stuff
I've had pretty good luck using one of the "brush on" types of poison. Wait until it is actively growing, cut it, then brush the poison onto the wound. Wear gloves and long sleeve shirt, preferably disposable. Sometimes I use an old sock instead of gloves so I can just throw it away. If you ask around, you can maybe find someone who is not allergic to poison ivy and they could do this for you. If you want to go organic, try having your dog pee on it. This will kill your prize azalea if he does this only once, but poison ivy will take approx. 1,000 times.
