Beautiful sunny day in Dublin, 10 or 12 degrees c . There is good growth on the grass , so Ive cut all the lawns I look after just to keep them fresh looking . Its very easy to get caught out but the outlook for the rest of the week is rain ,rain , rain . Lots of snow in New York I believe brrrrr . 8) Bugs

Some showers here over the weekend but a lovely blue sky this morning. It's dull again now though. 13 deg C / 55 deg F. Temperatures are definitely on the up and up, and so are the bulbs!

Chilly and windy last weekend here, temps going back up into the 70's F by the end of the week. Then.......we are supposed to get what is called by some a great blue norther and by some the siberian express. That's where the jet stream dips down the middle of the U.S. bringing the "north pole" with it.
Right now they think we will be on the southern edge and in for some really cold temps, but it could move further south and bring the freezing precipitation down to us too.

And then the way our luck has been these past few months, it could stop at the Oklahoma/Texas state line and just laugh at us and head off to the east again.

It's clear and cool here this morning but predicted near 70F. It was a nice day yesterday. I watered everything. It's too early for planting much. My spinach came up. I counted 26 plants yesterday. It's a good thing they are in pots though. I have them covered with a clear heavy poly. dooley

A bit cooler here today 10 deg C / 50 deg F. Also patches of drizzle here and there but generally a nice fresh day. The grass is really starting to grow now.

Another fine day today , still lucky with the weather , rained during the night which is good :D I sowed some herbs ,parsley etc and 150 Alliums in pots for planting out later . I tend to grow most of my plants out in the back corner and make a display when they are coming into flower , that way there is always something of intrest near the house. 8) Bugs

It's overcast here today, but warm. 65F last I looked. I need to check the bulbs to see if they need bulbs. We'll be gone two days and I watered on Sunday. Maybe in the morning before we leave I'll water the bulbs. Spinach is doing good. Dooley

The thaw before the freeze......temps going into the 80's today and tomorrow then the north pole moves over us for the weekend. We are still supposed to get the freezing temps and the chance of sleet or freezing rain has increased now.

I am certainly not ready for the 80's F - born and raised in Texas and I hate temps over about 75F - but I am getting really antsy to be planting and watching things grow again...without the fear of loosing them to a late season norther.

It's a gorgeous day here in Pataskala, Ohio, good ol' USA. It's supposed to get to 50 F. which is just another Spring teaser as this week end it's back to 30. Spring is definitely in the air, though; there is no turning back now. About this time I usually plant wheat berries in pots to put around the house just to have something green and new growing. I also plant it in the big iron pot outside by the door, but not for a couple of weeks yet. I'll post complete instructions under a new topic.

Yesterday the temp reached the lower 80'sF....then the front moved over and today the high might reach 40F and the gusty wind makes it feel like 25F

Still a chance of freezing precip during each night over the weekend.

    :D
