Day before yesterday I was pulling grass from around my elephant ears and my face touch one of the leaves and one of these fellows was sitting
on the leaf and stung me on the face. That smarts really bad.

Ouch Glenda. I got multiple wasp stings on my face when I was about 5 and can still remember how much that hurt.
My grandmother used to put Energine on wasp stings but that is a dry cleaning chemical and not something you want on your skin. Some people say making a paste from Adolph's Meat Tenderizer and water and putting a little of that on the sting will take away the pain too.

Since the pain from a sting is an alergic reaction, take some Benedryl that will lessen the pain.

I put clorax on it (just a tiny dab) works and the pain stops immrdiately toni.I took a benedryl and put ice on it to stop the swelling.

Oh Glenda I bet that hurt something awful! Did you yell dirty words? Ha! :D I would have!!! I don't have much experience with wasps but we have more than our share of yellow jackets! Yuck!
    Hope you're feeling better soon!

Last time I got a wasp sting I stopped at a mobile fish and chip van and asked for some vinegar to put on it. Takes the pain away almost immediately. Hope yours clears up quickly Glenda.
