Good Morning! Just want to introduce myself...name is Maggie. I am quite young and this is my first time living away from my parents, recently moved in with my bf. His house is a complete bachlor pad, so I'm hoping once spring come I can start making it "ours". I'm from Ontario, fyi. Beware...that's all I have to say, I am a complete beginer to anything house/garden related. Hope I can find lots of help here. Thanks
Hello from Wisconsin Maggie...I am sure you will learn a lot here and share all your gardening experiences with all of us. Do you plan on flowers outside? Container gardening is really fun too if you don't have the room or if you can't dig up the landlord's property... :-D
Hello Yamaha Gurl, and welcome from the Norwegian Artic. Theres a first time for everything and you picked a good first. Gardening is something that once its in the blood, its there forever...lol. There are alot of really great people on this site, with the most awesome experience and info. I'm sure all your questions will be answered. Again, welcome!
Thanks! I can dig where ever...bf owns the house and said go for it. But I would like to try container everything. I actually bought a book about container gardening...but it's a bit complicated. And doesn't say anything about veggies...which I would love to try.
A very warm welcome to you Maggie. You will find that the Stewbies is a great bunch of people and always willing to offer advise. Tell me you name Yamaha_gurl. - Are you into motorbikes (speed, wings), or pianos (music instruments) :?:
Hi Maggie a very warm welcome aboard GardenStew. Don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have as there is almost always someone who knows the answer. Good luck!
Thanks for the welcomes. As for Yamaha, well I ride sport bikes. Have a Suzuki now, but still love Yamahas:
Warm welcome to you from mid-Norway. You've picked a good place to join, so many knowledgeable people here with diverse interests. Is that you on that bike?
Thanks everyone...and yes, that's me Used to go camping at Sibbald Point Provincial Park when I was young...lake simcoe.
I know the area well! I lived in Jackson's Point for 12 years! I still live fairly close and work in the area.
Wow, love the bike and welcome. The very first and basically every year of gardening is a learning and self enlightening experience that I'm sure you are going to enjoy. Love the pic of you and hope bf catches the gardening bug.
Welcome! My bf lives in Ontario, just a few hours east of Sault Ste Marie Which part of ON do you live in, if you dont mind my asking? He also said I could work in his garden, but being farther south than him, I dont really know anything about gardening in Canada *lol*
