Well the long wait is finally over. KB and I stood waiting for Josh to pull into the harbor. We waited. We waited. We took some pics of all around us, of the aquatic life under the sea from waaayyyy up on the pier. But thats for another time. Here we go! Here comes the boat! A huge ship, 9 floors, into a tiny little harbor that actually turned itself around in there,,, amazing... But best of all, my son was on that boat. As it pulled into the harbor and was almost at a dock,, I heard the most wonderful sound I haven't heard in 2 1/2 yrs,,,"HI MOM, I'M HOME NOW!" I lost it, I started to cry right there. Those words echoed thru out the inlet harbor, and people started to look right at me,, i didn't care, I hollared back. " HI HONEY, I MISSED YOU TOO" Thats when the true Norwegian hospitality come out,, some of the crowd waiting come over and hugged KB and I. Then the pics started,,, so come enjoy our reunion. The pics of Josh and I are on his camera, not d/l yet because he is still sleeping,,lol. But as soon as he wakes up,,,,, We got so caught up in the moment, that we forgot about pics until later when we posed for them... but now we welcome Josh home.... See here he comes,,start waving all... There he is,,, to the left of the pic.. light shirt on, with a black strap going across,, thats his computer. And finally we are on our way to dinner, then the concert.... but thats another thread all its own.
You know I actually DID wave to Josh but could hardly make out the photographs as I had tears in my eyes!!! Stupid I know but I was just so happy for you all that I just couldn't stop myself. If it had been one of my sons coming off that boat I would have been a blubbering wreck!!! HELLO JOSH!!!! We feel as though your part of our family here already as we've all been awaiting your arrival back in Norway. You're going to spoiled rotten now you're home again and you deserve every minute of it. Enjoy your leave. Biita thank you for the piccies and I'm so happy for you and KB. Remember to give Josh all those extra hugs and kisses from us all now!!!
Ohhh Eileen I haven't stopped crying since i got in the car to go get him,,,lol. This morning KB was up bright and early, waited awhile he said then took some coffee over to his apt. He said the boy is still sleeping and didn't even hear him come in. Then I went over about 10:00 with more coffee, the same, he didn't even know I had been there...lol. So its going on noon now, and he said don't let him sleep past noon, so I'll go with another cup of coffee and get him some food in him. He said he loves it here, and its so good to be back. He met a man at the concert who just got home from Afganistan in the Norwegian Army. They sat there and talked for a good while after the concert. It was such a good night, and between KB and I, we had Josh attached to both of our hips,, and Josh just ate it all up, and smiled and smiled,,, we all are.
I'm smiling right along with you Biita!!!! See .... I just can't keep the grin off my face today knowing you're all together!!! Now forget about us and just enjoy every minute with that handsome son of yours.

YeeeeeHawwwww, Josh made it home. Boy what an adventure he had just getting there, no wonder he slept so long. Okay, eyes dry now...gosh it seems like we all waited almost forever for today.
I am sooooo happy for you and KB and Josh. I didn't realize he had been gone 2 1/1 years. That smile on his face is priceless. I know you are all so thrilled. But as a mother, I feel that you are the one that is the happiest. Is he home for good? Hope you all enjoy your days to come. Big {{{{{Hugs}}}}} to all of you. :-D
