We got up early the other morning and the full moon was still up in the western sky.

I don't have many flowers in the yard due to the heat and drought. But I managed to find a few this week.
I still have zinnias along the front of the house. There are even some small ones coming up. I've been pulling weeds so the can find a place to peek through.

One lone four o'clock managed to make it to blooming stage.

The allysum doesn't seem to mind sharing the flower bed with the weeds. There are quite a long of them still there.

When I went out to try to get a picture of a fast moving rabbit I saw these in a small circle. First there were a few but yesterday there were more. They look like those lilies from earlier this year but in miniature.

There was a yellow butterfly on these when I was taking pictures but.....you guessed it. It didn't make it to the picture. Butterflies won't sit for me. I was sure I had it but I didn't.

Lovely blooms and moon. :D Those lilies are amazing. I'd love to have a big clump of red lilies like that blooming outside now. There's hardly anything left here.

Like Droopy I'd love to have a patch of the red lilies you have Dooley. Most of my plants have died back now so it's lovely to see that you still have quite a few things in bloom.

Those are some pretty flowers, Dooley! I thought that your garden was all dried-out or something. You have some colour that is striking.
I'm wishing that my Alyssum was doing as well as yours. I thik that they got a little too dry back during that dry spell we had here.

That big ole moon looks quite romantic, doesn't it? Did you and your man go out on the front porch and spoon by the light 'o the moon?

Your flowers look very pretty, Dooley. Maybe you have had more rain than I have (or you kept watering). Beautiful moon...it sure was shining
brightly...what kind of camera did you use and what setting? I wanted to get a picture of it, but the batteries were dead in mine. :(

kuntrygal, we have a Canon A400. Our son sent it to us several years ago. It sets the settings so all we do is point and shoot. It was early, about six and still dark when dr took that picture. I sized it down some so it looks a little bigger. It sure was pretty though. We stood and looked at it for a bit. We were out in our pajamas but no one was there to see us. We live out away from town. There are only three houses we can see from here. Glenda, Kevin and our friend Bob.
I didn't plant the lilies, they just appeared in a little circle last week. Glenda calls them rain lilies but it's rained before and they haven't bloomed so maybe it's just the time for them.
I do like zinnias and alyssum, There is some pink in places, too. I have some marigolds but they aren't blooming right now. Some are just coming up. All summer as the blossoms faded, I'd pull them apart and sprinkle the seeds around them. Then, new plants grew. This rain we've had the last couple of weeks have helped, too. dooley
