This plant comes to life every spring in my garden. I'm not sure if it's a herbaceous perennial or just annual, but it semms to spread only in one part of the garden. The flowers are really small and located on the inner side of the plant, closer to the ground.
Does anyone know the name? Anything familiar?
    Thanks!

Iya, I am sorry no one responded to your question. I have no idea what that plant is, but it looks like a weed to me. I live in North America, so I am not familiar with Australian plants. If you are still wondering, maybe Chocolate could help. He/(she?) lives in Australia. You could private message him.

Yeah, it does me too Strats, but it isn't creeping jenny, or at least not the creeping jenny I know (Lysimachia Aurea). I have a cutting of that from a friend & it is a chartreuse green.

Hi, thank you everyone who's trying to help. This is how the flower looks like - DSC_0982.jpg
It's really tiny- 5 mm, if, and located on the inner part of the stem, very close to the ground.

I've searched for all sorts of weeds registered anywhere in Australia and have not found anything similar. Yet, this thing still grows in my garden :)

It's very hairy - millions of tiny hair cover all parts of plant - one can see it clearly on the picture of a flower, there is why whole plant feels like a plush carpet, hugging the ground.

I'm no help at all but just wanted to say what an exquisite little beauty that flower is. I'll be intrigued to see what it turns out to be.

At first I thought your plant may have been a Hairy Bird's-foot Trefoil but I don't think the flowers aren't quite right. Their shape reminds me somewhat of the blooms you get on pea plants.
