Can someone please tell me whether you cut the faded orchid flowers or just let them fall?

I always let mine fall of their own accord Odif. It's what they would do if they were in their natural environment and I like to replicate that if I can.

Is it a Phalaenopsis? If so, new blooms can appear on the old stems. I was advised not to trim them and I was so glad I followed the advice. Mine has re-bloomed 3 times on the same inflorescences that were blooming when I got it. It has never grown any new ones.
