Pink ones and blue ones, red, purple, orange and yellow ones,
some that are crinkled or swirled, others that look fluffy or frilled,
they're popping out everywhere, and everyday there's more of 'em . . .

    :D Ain't it grand??

Zowie ZuZu! You have some real petal power going on at your place! The hibiscus is very different from ones I see at our market, it has such fine sculptural petals. What is the pineapple looking thingie?

I love the "Texas Star" (Hibiscus coccineus) for it's crisp, graphic appearance, too.
    and it's so easy-going, :smt023 it's a hardy herbaceous perennial here.

Commonly called "Pineapple Lily", for obvious reasons, :)
it is actually Eucomis comosa 'Sparkling Burgundy'

I actually think it photographs better in bud than in bloom,
now that the flowers are opening, the stem has decided to go all curvy-swervy.
