Pink ones and blue ones, red, purple, orange and yellow ones, some that are crinkled or swirled, others that look fluffy or frilled, they're popping out everywhere, and everyday there's more of 'em . . . Ain't it grand??
You have the most gorgeous flowers. Those blooms are fantastic .I can't believe how wonderful they are.
Zowie ZuZu! You have some real petal power going on at your place! The hibiscus is very different from ones I see at our market, it has such fine sculptural petals. What is the pineapple looking thingie?
I love the "Texas Star" (Hibiscus coccineus) for it's crisp, graphic appearance, too. and it's so easy-going, it's a hardy herbaceous perennial here. Commonly called "Pineapple Lily", for obvious reasons, it is actually Eucomis comosa 'Sparkling Burgundy' I actually think it photographs better in bud than in bloom, now that the flowers are opening, the stem has decided to go all curvy-swervy.
I've just got to add my sentiment as well.. Incredible photos... If you ever do have a Come on over party, be SURE to put me on the list... Just absolutely lovely. Deborah
