Can anyone tell me where I could get hold of one of these plants? I saw one in a tropical green house and I instantly fell in love with it!

This is known as a chenille plant here. I have only seen it as a hanging basket plant. Never the size you found it. So check at the nursery or greenhouses around you. Ask about it with both names if necessary. It can be propagated from stem cuttings. Watch it carefully if you find one. INSPECT it closely for mites, aphids and mealybugs. They love this plant. Looking closely at the leaves on the plant in your photo...those leaves look like it is infested with spider mites. So, if you find one make sure you treat it even before you bring it in your house/greenhouse.
