    Thanks,
    Amanda

    African Violet - Food?

Amanda, have you fed it recently? I have 2 that are heavy feeders so I dilute the feed in 1/2 and feed every time I water (about once/week). Also, be sure NOT to over water, it will cause crown rot.

    Good luck.

I use Miracle Grow for Violets, 1/2 strength with a drop of Superthrive mixed in for good health. You can find both at any good nursery or online.

It is also important to remember that violets need at least eight hours of darkness, each day, in order to bloom.
Is there a light left on in your office of a night?

My grandmother had violets in the south window - they seemed to be in bloom all year round.

If the pot is too large, it won't bloom either. AV's like to be root bound and bloom more that way!
