I found one of these on the half price rack at Lowe's today (only $3)!
I noticed that few folks here grow these. I was wondering if they attracted hummingbirds?
Even though it's a vine... can it be trained to be in a hanging basket?

That is a great price for a mandevilla. I grow them every year but I usually put them in the ground with a trellis behind them. I did buy one in a hanging basket once but there was lattice behind it and it wove its way throughout the lattice. They are vigorous growers and you will have to keep it trained or it will become a tangled knot.

They do attract the hummingbirds and will bloom until frost, as along as you keep fertilizing it.

That's kinda what I thought about it being vigorous.
I'll scrap the idea of putting it in a hanging basket and just go with it was a vine.
Thanks for helping make up my mind!
