And I thought we didn't have many ducks!

I wish I could have taken a picture of all of the ducks flying and in the water today...I have never seen so many ducks at one time....but they kept moving and my camera lens can't get them all at one time... a few seagulls joined in with them. Duck hunting is going on right now but we didn't hear any gun fire because they were too close to the houses. Oct.1, 2018 004 (2).jpg

Lovely picture sherry and it's always beautiful to see nature at it's best...just a shame you couldn't capture them all :like:

Maybe they all know that it's safer there than anywhere else during duck hunting season.

Oh my, we are thrilled when we get a dozen ducks on our pond, and you have so very many on the lake! Wonderful!
Thank you for sharing that photo of ducks, and ducks, and more ducks!

Maybe they are Cormorants? They are darker in color and travel in huge flocks this time of year.

Not sure but some came up to our shore area and sat on the log in the water, those were mallards. They did the same thing today....and by the time I told my husband to take a video they were mostly in the water. The line of ducks was too large and if I could get them all in, I am not sure we could tell what they were. They would be smaller than the ones in the photo.
