I got some seeds from Hubby's mom's old Hibiscus a few years ago after she "left" us. They didn't germinate. So last year while visiting the old homestead, I noticed some more seeds and grabbed some. This time, they sprouted.
So I babied the one plant that survived and grew healthy. Got it planted earlier this year and babied it some more... just waiting to see it bloom.
And it did a couple of weeks ago. White... or at least a very very pale pink. Hmmmm... I thought it had pink blooms? Asked hubby what color he remember them being. He said pink. After more white blooms, it started producing pink blooms.
And today, it finally had one of each color in near proximity of each other.
Hubby accused me of having two different plants right next to each other. I did not... just that one.
Anyhow... It just makes me smile seeing her Hibiscus flower.. and that she is still joking around with me by giving me two different color blooms.

So happy they sprouted and bloomed for you Cheryl. Great way to keep the memory of someone.

Your garden must look lovely with all those hibiscus in flower. What a pity I can't grow them over here.

Thanks everyone. Her nickname was Tiny B.... so that's what I call the plant.
Barb... it's probably around 4 ft by 4ft.
