    on what this is? He was on the garage door. He's about 3 inches long and as big around as my lttle finger. My wife saw him a few days ago and said that she had seen an all black wooly bear. But he is about 3 times the size of a wooly bear. The rows of black fuzz have orange on his skin between the rows.

    Yep, the Giant Leopard Moth caterpillar. I have found a few in my yard over the years. Really gorgeous moths.
