Cat Jerry rescued .She like playing with small ones.Well She brought one in. Got away from her. Was in cellar.And grew. I 'm not afraid of them -but don't want them in house. I killed it last night. Was bull snake.Like them outside -eat mice bugs.My basement-keep it clean. Got firewood and wood burner.
I did some research on the manufacturers website and the product is apparently only effective for Garter snakes and Rattlesnakes. Their product brochure states that it MIGHT be helpful in keeping away other types of snakes but it is not expected to be. Also, do not use it in the garden area or in near food crops. Do not use near streams, lakes, ponds, water supply sources, etc. And it has a distinct smell to let you know it is still working, when that smell is almost gone, it is time to use more....and only lasts 2 months under normal weather conditions. I think I would buy a dog, they keep them away too.
Thanks. I don't mind them outside. eating bug and mice.But here worked all last year. Taking old lower siding off. Tuck-pointing foundation. Put new basement window in. I do have 2 dogs Yellow lab and a Viszla . They don't play with them.They kill them.But will be last cat that goes outside and inside-all the time.
