Got the pacemaker replaced and was out of the horsepistol by 11 am. Had to be there at 6 am, got checked in, then they prepped me for surgery. At 8:30 they wheeled me into surgery and I was back in my room at 9:30 am. Had to stay there for an hour. The Dr. came in and said that everything went fine. I was awake for everything but the actual cutting, they gave me something to make me sleep. Didn't feel a thing. I have a big wad of bandage on my left shorlder that will come off on Sun. Then can't shower that area until 14 days after the surgery. Will have to cover it up, or take sponge baths. Am a little sore, but feel fine other than that. So I should be good for another 5 years!
Oh, you're good for more than five years! Glad to hear it went so well, and that you are back home. You'll be bird-bathing with your birds for a while, won't you?
That's good news Capt! Yea! My daughter in law (who is only 25) just had her battery replaced, she has had her pacemaker since she was 19. Had cardiomyopathy when she gave birth to my grandson. We sure learned a lot about heart health! Rest easy!
Capt. Glad to hear that everything went well and you are now back home. You will also have to practice up on your tweeting as you bath with your feathered friends. :-D Have a super great day.
Glad to hear the good news Captain. Rest, take it easy, type with one hand and do not jump-start any alien spaceships. Even though spring has arrived in Ohio, do not be tempted to do anything but look at spring pictures on Gardenstew. Jerry
Well, I can't raise my left hand any higher than my mouth. But I can go back to leg only exercises next week according to the Doc, but I am going to go ahead and take a week off from that. But no restrictions on driving. Sat. the bandage can come off and then the steri strips have to loosen up and come off on their own.
Glad you are home. Hospital great places to visit. But no place like home and comfy bed.And you will be all ready for Spring. Just take it easy.
So pleased to hear that everything went well with your operation CK. Here's hoping that the pain and discomfort you're felling will fade away quickly. Meantime I hope you can manage to enjoy watching the wildlife that visits your garden. Take care.
