I thought some of you would like to join me in making a bublebee box for your garden. I'm going to make the flower pot one as I already have all the bits I'll need in our shed. We could compare notes to see which design is the best later on in the year if you like. http://www.bumblebeeconservationtrust.c ... _boxes.htm
Eileen, we would love to do this project with you , but Ron is allergic to bees. This one we will pass on. Love to do another project some time together.
I have a decorative bee skep made from an upturned clay pot. It sits on bricks to keep it off the ground butI have never seen signs of occupancy probably because of that. Oh, well, it is cool in the garden. When I ordered the Elderberry bush from Raintree Nursery I also ordered some paper straws to house Mason Bees. Don't have them ready for occupancy yet, still need to get the PVC pipe for Randy to cut for them. http://www.raintreenursery.com/catalog/ ... uctid=T345
