Yesterday, at the library, an older couple came into the library with a box of plants. Each plant was in a four inch pot and each pot was in a basket with bows tied on the handle. They gave a plant to each of the library workers that was there working. I received a tuberous begonia. There are two in the pot. The leaves are so shiny. One side is red and the other green with reddish edges. The book says they grow to 1 and 1/2 feet so I think I will need to repot it. But, for now it looks really nice on the end table. Dooley

What a nice thing to do, it warms my heart to hear these stories. Richard hit the nail on the head in his post. Any chance of a pic Dooley?

That is so sweet! What kind & thoughtful people!
I had an angel leaf begonia one time that LOVED my kitchen window. Unfortunately it didn't survive the move to the new house. I think we went from a south facing window to an east facing window, he didn't like it :'(
