I bought the Iris lamp at a flea market many years ago and just loved it. But a couple of years ago we started redesigning the livingroom and there just wasn't a place for it any longer.
I found the purple glass and plate at a thrift store and adhered them together. It was a couple of years ago but I think I used either Gorilla Glue or Liquid nails.

It got knocked over in the workroom while waiting for the glue to dry and a chunk of the lamp base broke but that was glued back on.

I really like the idea of making items for your garden out of old stuff that may just be thrown out. At least you can be secure in the knowledge that your garden will be totally 100% unique :D

Has the feeder proved a hit with your feathered friends Toni?

Oh, yeah, the birds love it. The squirrels have left it alone surprisingly and thank goodness or it would be on it's side and possibly broken many times over by now. The sparrows can get on it and feast while the grackles are hogging the hanging feeder.

Thanks ya'll. I have several things in the garden that were once something else. I get a kick out of "curb shopping" the day before trash pickup.

I am going to get the pictures ready and post them.
