I am trying to root some Bleeding Heart cuttings right now. Planted them yesterday. They wilted but seem to be picking up this morning. Question is, if I manage to get them going do I plant the em outside this year or should I put them in the house for the winter?
I came here to wish you good luck with growing your bleeding heart. I'm sorry I can't offer any advice. We're on very different climates. Ours grow no matter what as long as it's not too dry for them.
I would plant it outside now. Needs the cold weather to set buds for next season. They usually disappear when it gets to warm. They will be a nice addition anywhere in your garden safely out of direct sun in dappled shade. I have several they are always a yearly looky-loo in my garden.
yeah I would plant outside give some water and leave them alone but that's here in NY. I started from 3 bare roots and now I have them everywhere on the property plus I separate and give away to family and friends.
