First for some history before asking this question.
In 1977 my oldest daughter and I moved back to Texas to start a new life on our own. I found a good job and for the first time in my adult life I had money to pay bills, necessities and some for the frivolous (read: somewhat useless) things that can make life fun. You know the special offer stuff you see advertised in magazines for a couple of dollars plus shipping.

Anyway, I saw an ad for a brown ceramic pitcher for serving Jose Cuervo tequilla from. I had no use for the pitcher, didn't drink tequilla except once in a while in a Tequilla Sunrise...but that pitcher symbolized to me the fact that I could be a single Mom and support the two of us without "help" from ex I left behind in Florida.

I still have that pitcher, kept it intending to plant something in it but never found just the right plant for it.

Now for the question, does anyone know of a plant with the name of a booze in it. I know tequilla comes from the Agave plant, but this pitcher will only hold a smallish plant.

That's a great idea, Toni. Isn't it cool how objects can come to symbolize so much more?

There is a cultivar of Calibrachoa ("Million Bells") called Tequila Sunrise.
I don't know if that would work for you, but if it did, the yellow and orange flowers
trailing over the sides of your brown ceramic pitcher might be very attractive.

And, if that wouldn't work, there are other plants that bear the name "Tequila Sunrise",
    including an ice plant (Delosperma).

Frank that rose is gorgeous. I am not really "into" roses like some of our members but I do want to put several different colors and a rail fence down our property line by the driveway next year. That Tequila Sunrise I will have to find.

I have killed more Hosta plants than should be allowed by any one gardener, but the Whisky Sour is pretty :'(

If I can find the Calibrachoa Tequila Sunrise around here or mailorder I think I will have to use it in the pot....or somewhere, I like it very much.

    Thanks for the ideas.

I didn't see this before - I love the idea of the 'million bells' variety in the booze pitcher. All I could think of were champagne irises and possibly a rum honeysuckle (which would be too big anyway).

Would be fun to plant a little garden of "booze" plants with some empty bottles worked into the decor.
