It's cold out there this morning. It's 7 am and reading 33 deg F. So it will probably get down to 32 or 31 before it starts to warm up any.

Hmmm. A little bit chilly perhaps, but not terribly cold. I am in Missouri, and originally from Pennsylvania, so it can get much colder whenever it wants to. I still need to buy firewood and get a lot of stuff done before it gets cold. We have had one frost so far this fall. A few nights in the 30s, and a fire lit.

But those new stove pipes smoked us out of the house something awful. I had to open windows and turn on the fans for a few hours to get the nasty fumes and smoke out of here. :smt118 I have never had stove pipes do that before...

AAnightowl-new stove pipes are the WORST! The first time we lit our woodstove I thought the ceiling was on fire...the stench and smoke was horrible!! This year DH decided to put some stove black on the stove and pipes. I got smart and lit it on a nice day with the windows open :D

Cold here this morning. So glad i covered the peppers and toms in the hightunnel last night. Now I hope that when I go out to uncover them they survived the cold night. Everything outside is frosted :( I knew it had to come sooner or later, I just like it .....much later.

We had frost again this morning, about the same as Sat. But it didn't get as cold. Only down to 35.
