Burning bush turning red

    It must be fall here in Michigan. I walked around the corner of the garage this afternoon and discovered that the burning bush has definately started to change colors. We almost lost this beauty to rabbits a couple of winters ago - I am sure glad it survived.

    Very pretty. I don't imagine they grow in La.

    Beautiful polly!!! My Virginia creeper is just beginning to turn red too - so it must be autumn here as well.

    No, they don't grow in Louisiana. All those lovely plants that I grew up with just wilt in our heat. Of course, my parents can't have bananas or giant birds or all the tropical plants I have grown to love.

    It has become adapted to Texas conditions, I think I will look for one next spring....that is gorgeous.

    That bush reminds me of of my Aunts house plant I can't remember if it was a Blue bird or Redbird Plant.When it bloomes the blooms looked like a little bird.

    Richard, you are a little bit north of me on the northshore of NO, aren't you? You could try it. Even as a cool season annual it might be worth it. Let me know after you paid a bundle to buy it. Or you could try this: Empty a tray of ice cubes at the base of the shrub every morning. Works for lilacs...really! But I'm too lazy for that.

    I have four burning bushes and all are turning red. Some of the trees here are starting to turn also. Wannabe

    That is so pretty. I could have one, maybe. But I have never seen one at a nursery here

    If you find one let me know .I don't know if the Burning Bush will grow in Texas but Polly's is just so beautiful.
