I have managed to get a few pictures of butterflies, mostly from around the garden. When there are 2 photos, I have tride to take one with the wings open and one shut. Many though don't do both very often. Butterflies.

I just don't know how you do it Kildale. I either get a shot of a butterfly with closed wings or one with open but rarely get both shots. Mostly I just get photographs of a blur - maybe I need to learn to be more patient.

Lovely! All of them. I am very fond of butterflies, and welcome them to my garden. We haven't got such a huge selection, though. Truth be told, our cabbage whites have been decimated due to the neighbour's kitten who loves to catch and eat them. :D

Thank goodness for people like you Kildale, so I can enjoy the pics that I'm not patient enough to capture. My niece will love looking at these too.

The butterfly I like the most in this grouping the Sara Orange Wing.

Thank you all for the comments, I basically only take nature shots now. When I was shooting for agencies and such I would photograph anything of interest, 100's of horse pics as I used to take stock photos for a horse magazine, Equus. Now its just insects for a magazine and my Nature Site.
