Hi Frank I would like to make the suggestion of a canning/preserving sub section in the recipes section. Bringing in my harvests and looking for canning info would be so much easier if it had its own section.
Oh, that is a good idea! I'm always looking for easier methods/better recipes for canning, and a canning subforum would certainly help. Could we possibly make it a Canning/Freezing subforum? Lots of us freeze tons of stuff (and to prove it if necessary, I can post a photo of my overflowing freezer ).
I think we need a new forum name under "Around the Home". Then sub forums. Around The Home Preserving The Harvest Canning Dehydrating Root Cellar Freezing I would go through and add my stuff on those categories. And then we should have anything having to do with preserving moved into these sub forums. To me that would make it easier to find, putting up food, easier.
Hi Netty, on Auntie Bel's we have a Food Preservation & Storage subforum. I think this would be a good fit here also so I'll add it very soon (probably tomorrow) when I find existing threads to populate it with initially. I want to shy away from adding too many subforums to avoid clutter. Thanks all!
