Cauleflower

    Cauleflower is a cool weather plant and will not head properly in hot weather. Do you grow Cauliflower?

    Yes I grow cauliflower and this year I planted 100+ plants. I have green and white cauliflower. I will plant cauliflower over winter and grow in the polytunnel also outdoors in late winter and early spring.

    Planted mine last year early April and they grew fine in Texas heat. Have no idea what variety,, it just said Cauliflower on the tag ! They got huge ! I pinned the leaves at top to prevent them from turning green and getting tough. I planted two six packs and didnt lose a single one. Not sure if that was good or bad,, I still have cauliflower in the freezer.

    Only have a couple but am growing a cool variety of cauliflower/broccoli called Romanescu. They are still pretty tiny though healthy.
