clam shells

    I'm sure you can if you wash them well first. Crushed they'd make a great deterrent against snails and slugs and also add a little calcium to your soil.

    Thanks I wanted to use the shells around some plants sort of a recycle thing

    They should add a nice natural color to the garden also. Great idea.

    If you can break them up into bits they make a great source of Calcium for plants and will work as a mulch.
