Our church took things we collected for food bank.Found out they needed warm coats for kids also+ mitten and hats. Wish I had Tuesday off. At Goodwill certain colored tag is a .25( Boy could buy a bunch with $10. Going call church member who works close by. Maybe she can go gets some and will pay her. Said Food Banks helping more and more each week. We sent them $$$ for things they are out of.

What a lovely thing for your church (and you) to do! We contribute what we can to our local food bank, and I spend some spare time knitting mittens for the Head Start tykes. Those little ones can lose mittens almost as fast as I can knit!
Fortunately, here in Texas we haven't had really cold weather yet so coats are not a big necessity. Our church has an "emergency fund" and if coats become a necessity, we'll follow your example and go to Goodwill to see if we can get reasonably priced coats. What a good suggestion, Koszta!
