We have had House Finches almost daily, and I'm sure I've posted photos of them before, but this little guy was so cute we couldn't resist!

And White Crowned Sparrows--they hop around the path and patio, eat an inordinate amount of seed, but are so adorable we don't mind taking out a loan to buy birdseed.

Oh Jane, you folks have such lovely birds there. Your piccy of those common birds makes me feel right at home, being especially common myself.
Thanks for the posting, I never tire of avian fotos.

They're very pretty! We have finches around here, but not those. I really like to see photos of them.

Jane can't wait until they are back in Wisconsin. We jokingly call the White Crowned sparrow, Bicycle Helmet sparrow. They look like they are wearing one. Haven't been here for awhile. I've been redpilling myself for those who know what that means. I really need to take a break and let my brain rest. What better place than in a gardenstew.

Even with the arctic snow dump the birds are still out and about. E198FEC9-A931-46B4-A2EE-55BEDFEB6765.jpeg F9E87B0B-EAD7-4BA7-8DEC-848E7AB24410.jpeg

Your feeders are really important at this time.
    Great work.

Thanks .. it’s cold and just filling the feeders is risky 19 degrees and icy. They are my bug eaters and keep my plants free from insects.

    That eagle photo is amazing!
We keep our feeders filled because it's cold--for here--and the birds don't have much to eat except what we provide. Suet and seed, and they get to eat and we get to enjoy seeing them.

    That is a gorgeous, Jane.
Great that you are keeping those birds in food. You get a gold star.

Thank you, Sojerd, May I cash in my gold star for money to buy more bird seed? It is amazing how much seed those little Hoovers can eat!
