    The coopers hawk is seen in my pergola feeding area daily now. We have snow and it is harder for him to find food so he is trying to get a little bird.

    are you sure that is a Cooper?


    Looks alot like my juvie "Sharpshinned"

    but still a very pretty bird...

    I have been calling them Coopers hawks for years, can you go back and check all my old posts in this area when you have time to check more pictures out? This one is a lot smaller than some that are coming here. I have had some pretty big ones that look exactly the same to me. Kildale never said anything so I was thinking I was correct.

    When the tail is not in view it is awfully hard to tell the difference but these do not have a darker back.

    More lovely hawk pics. Well, it looks like that hawk has found THE place to be these days.
